I wanted to see if anyone could help me out here. The background of my site will show but the main page doesn't show untill the site is almost fully loaded while viewing it with Internet Explorer. The URL is Games and Laughs - Play free games online at any time! - Free Flash Arcade I know it hasn't always loaded this way. I havn't made in major changes in the site. Does anyone have any ideas or advice on why it is doing this. It bothers me because most people including myself won't hang around if it takes to long to see a site.

hey there Weboholic,

You are right that this is a concern. I suspect that the problem has to do with an error in your HTML. You page is wrought with errors and I could not begin to determine which one is causing the problem you describe. I ran your page through a free HTML repair tool offered by NetMechanic, and it came up with lots of issues.

HTML code help, search engine optimization and web site maintenance tools by NetMechanic.

The first step I would take is to clean up your code. Use careful indention practices with your table and div tags to make sure everything is opening and closing at the proper place.

This kind of stuff is my business, so feel free to contact me if you want help.

Result for http://www.gamesandlaughs.com/ - W3C Markup Validator

There's a character in there somewhere that's at least throwing off the whole equation. Check there first, and then check any errors and solve as many as you can. The more you solve, the more likely you are to see the page as intended.

The other thing you may want to look at is the number of small images you have. If they're common, try to reuse them. It'll cut down on load time.

Thank you for your help. I'm going to work on fixing the code and I'll post the results when I finish. Thanks again.
