Ok, so basically I'm working on a service similar to YouTube, except not in English. The problem? I know absolutely no Flash...and it seems to be the only way to make a video-player on the web. I don't want to have to limit the service to QuickTime only so I can get an embedded player without coding.

For those of you who know Flash, how hard would it be to code a video player, and also convert MPEG/QuickTime/WMV/etc to the Flash-compatible video format? [.flv I think]

Any help would be much appreciated =]

1. find a player, not code a player ......(as u asked such question, I don't suggest u code the player yourself. Just find a Free player and pay $$ to buy one)

2. converse clips into FLASH format is the key part of a video sharing system. We have our backend converse engine to do this.
