Hello all,
I'm new to the forums and looking for some help. I'm more of a coder then a designer but i find my self to be some what creative. I'm not sure if i'm using the right techniques to design websites.
My goal is to make a site like the new windows vista site, but i'm not sure how they went about designing it.
I currently use fireworks to design the page then export it to html/images and use dreamweaver to edit the html if needed.
One problem i run into is when i add my asp code to one of my pages i delete one of the image slices and insert a table and i go from there. but here's one of my problems since i have to delete the slice to insert the table i have a hole where my image is at or i just use a solid color as my background, how do i fix that.
Ok main reason i'm posting,
how do you guys design your sites, technique wise? here is one i'm working on now but i'm about to redo the design and try to have it resemble the Vista site

If someone could help it would be great, any info on how you or how microsoft designes websites.
I'm hope all this makes since
Thank You
