Hi Forummers

I am designing a new website using tools from Yahoo's Site builder. However, there is one page element which I am not able to create as it is not included in the tool. I am referring to a filter element. How do you create one for scrolling information such as names of countries etc so that a user can choose by scrolling on the filter or scroll bar or whatever you call it?

I appreciate if someone can help me as I am still very new to website designing.

Thanks a lot!

You mean like this?
<select name="(your field name here">
<option value="Value 1">Option 1</option>
<option value="Value 2">Option 2</option>
...
</select>

Use that code and see if that's what you want. If it is, it's called a listbox.

Hello Adam

Thanks for your input.

Yes, you are right! It is called List Box and I have found it in the Yahoo Site Builder under "Forms & Form Elements" menu. However, when I opened up the "List Box", the pop up "Properties" show contents such as "Text, Value and Selected" in a table. While I understood what text means, but what is required to be keyed in the "value" column? The other column of the table shows check boxes under the heading "selected".

There are also Confirmation Page and Error Page under "Form Settings". What do they mean?

I am trying to create a form in my website for users to submit to me and I would appreciate for your kind explanation.

Thanks and I look forward to your cool reply.
