Hello I am a graphic designer new to dreamweaver, and have come across a problem which I thought I could work out but can't. It seems very simple on the face of it but it has me flummoxed. I am working on a site for someone and using four frames

top = banner
left = links : : middle = main body : : right = flash.

On the left panel I have three links which read 'home' 'gallery' and 'blah' (just for now)

When the site is accessed the home page shows in the middle frame, great!
but when I want to click links to show different pages in the middle frame I get my doteasy error page for 'gallery' and 'blah'

Now, previewing in Firefox, and Safari etc gives the desired results , but opening within these browsers I get the problem listed above

I have followed the book to the letter and linked each frame to the proper page but the links won't override the 'home' page, how do i over come this please?

This is probably something devastatingly easy but I just can't see it. I hope you can help

regards

~paul~

I think I have done it, I changed the sizes of the other two pages to fit in the space available

DOH!!

I won't blame admin if they remove these two posts unless of course they can be of use

You would be much better off NOT using frames at all. They are poison for search engines, they generally take longer to load because instead of loading 1 page you're loading 4 ( in your case), and, they're just a MESS to deal with and maintain.

Is there any particular reason you're using frames ?
