I'm doing an email newletter in Dreamweaver 8 and want our website address to scroll smoothly along the top of the page.

When I do it in Flash, and on previewing the website in IE, the active content bar activates and I have to click on it see the flash scroll.

As I don't believe some people viewing this will be bothered to click to view active content, is there a script or another way round this so that it will just show up on the page.

Yes, there's a way around it, why can't people do some research ????

I have posted this solution a million times here. YOU CANNOT USE THE EMBED TAG ANYMORE !! (yes, I'm shouting !). You MUST use another solution for putting active content into your pages or you WILL get the 2-click step nonsense.

There are several methods, pick one:

I happen to use SWFObject, it's easy and works like a charm, though the others certainly have their merits.

I'm sorry, as I'm new to this I wasn't quite sure what to search for. I'll see what I can do with your suggestion, thank you.
