hey, so I got this layout right... ugh how can i explain this... Ok picture a table | | There. Now I want that to be the entire website when you view it, just that table. However when i preview my website its the table, plus a whole lot of background...

Basicly, I cant figure out how to make my website expand when you expand your browser, or shrink when you make your browser stronger. Thats what I want, is that possible?

If not is there a good standerd for dimensions of my table?

you can set your table width to a percentage...for example

Code:
<table width="90%">
<tr>
<td>
content here
</td>
</tr>
</table
that would make the width of the table 90% of the browser window.

When using tables, you normally have a choice ofbetween using pixels and percentage when sizing the table. If you use pixels, be very careful. A lot of people who have got large monitors make the mistake of making the table the size of the monitor in pixels which is normally just over 900 pixels with a 17 inch monitor. When someone views your website using a small monitor, they have to scroll to see the whole of the page. This is why I like to use percentage when sizing your table. Like what has already been said, if you make the table 100%, whatever monitor you view the website on, your website should always fit the monitor and you shouldn't have to scroll to the side.
