I need a logo for my forum site. I have a specific design in mind. I can visualize it but can't do it myself. So I need a graphics artist to do it. It will involve custom work but should not be to difficult for an artist. So I'm wondering if I should find someone and commission him/her outright or start a contest.

What I'm looking for will involve a line drawing of mountains with recognizable city buildings (Las Vegas strip) in front of it. The drawing would be a black line drawing with possibly a little bit of color shading. Along with that I would need a better graphic of the site name.

Are there artists on this site that can post examples of their previous work? How much would something like this cost? I'm guessing $75 - $125? Too much, not enough?

Don't want to run off topic for the original poster but what it is the average cost of an artist designing a simple logo ?
