I'm a bit new to this and just learning the basics.

I have a question about metatag keywords. Can you use a combination of words, like "Ukraine Singles, Russian Singles, Asian Singles", seperated by a comma, or can you only use single words?

You can use the combination of words like you have. The truth though is meta keywords really don't help at all. Many people don't both using them myself included. It's ok to use them, but if you spend more than a minute on them per page you could have made better use of your time.

meta tags don't have alot of value because of problems with cramming them with keywords. Most SE don't use them or give very little weight to them. Just be careful not to be too repetitive with them, and you'll be fine.
