Is there a way to modify your scrollbar and stay within w3c regulations? I have built a self contained webpage and have added a scrollbar with overflow, but it doesnt exactly match my site to have it in that color. All I want are just the arrows to show up and the rest of it to not be there.. Is there anything simple i can use to do this other than changing the color of the bar with scroll-properties, again, it seems as though they dont follow regulation of w3c, so i dont want to use that method.
Thanks for the help, and i hope this makes sense..
Thanks,
Y-aji

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think altering the scrollbar is part of the w3c spec. I know the main browser scrollbar isn't Changes to it will only affect Internet Explorer.

I'll be honest in that I only know so much about this since I think messing around with scrollbar changes is not the best idea. Sounds though like you only want to change the scrollbar for the overflow which I can see being ok. I'm not sure, but if I had to guess the way to change that scrollbar would be the same as changing the browser scrollbar and it will probably only work for IE.

If you search for 'css scrollbar' you should get a lot of results with all the info you need to make the changes. I think it's probably going to be scrollbar-color you want to use and set that color to match the background color so it looks like it's not there.
