Can someone recommend me a good webdesign software? I used dreamweaver, but I have seen many options out there, such as netobjects, coffecup, web studio, many of them are offering image editing feature included, claiming that it'd make photoshop not necessary. Any suggestions?

Dreamweaver is definitely the best of the WYSIWYG editors but I don’t think any are suitable for designing CSS based sites. The trend these days is for keeping content 100% separate from design so I would first decide how you want to control your content.
1. Online databases like Joomla etc.
2 Blogging
3. Client side CMS (my favorite)
You then just need to get hold of one of their templates and edit the CSS with a text editor like textpad.
I also like to check my code with htmlvalidator.com and the regulation two computers (IE6 and 7) and other browsers.
