i have created a contact form in dreamweaver 8 but i dont know what to do,
what shall i do to enable visitors send contact details to me once they fill their information and click send button.

do i need to use cgi setting?
do i need to install some extentions?

any comments and help is highly appreciated.

You will need to use a formmail script to actually process the form and send the mail. You can use either a perl/cgi or php form processor. There are loads listed that you can download and use at...

A word of advice - stay away from "Matts Formmail" because it's old an insecure, but don't worry there are 100's of alternatives.

thanks for the information, i have downloaded the zip file from the link that you have stated but i would be appreciated that if you show me what shall i do after that there is a folder called idreams mailer .scripts and there are further more subfolders like cgi-bin.if you give me an exapmple in stages it would be kind of you

i am sure my hosting company supports cgi and php.

please advice.

by the way where do you live? is there any art work of you that i can visit?
