I work with Dreamweaver 8. Is it advisable to put graphics in an Images folder or put them in the main directory with the html files?

It doesn't really matter. I would put them in a folder just because your home directory will get cluttered.

Have your html and css, and php and all them type of files in your main directory, if you have loads of file, then use folders, for your images, always have them in a folder named "images" this is good so you can find them all, and have somewhere to store them.

Whatever you can keep straight. It won't effect how others see the site, unless you mess up the path for the filename.

It doesn't matter if you work with dreamweaver or other editor.

You can put images files anywhere, but is good practice to put them in a 'images' or 'img' folder. It will keep everything more tidy and easier for you.
