Have you done anything to let people know the site is there ?? Have you submitted the site to the search engines or web directories ?? Do you have any incoming links to your site from others ???

You'll need at LEAST all of these to get things rolling.

yep you need to let the world know that the site is there.
search this forum for 'seo' for search engine information.
and submit your site to as many free directories as possible here's a good list of directories

You should also read the sig rules and add the site to your sig, as long as it meets those rules.

Visits don't come by themselves, you need a properly optimized website and to do some advertising / PPC campaigns to get people to your site. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

Properly optimized website? Yeah; don't forget to make sure your site is free of any code errors and warnings...*strong hint*...

Running a web site is same as running a corner store. You need to get the words out about your site. Marketing is the key. If you are new to marketing, getting informed in that area will help. There are some free advertising venues like Craig's list, Google Base and Microsoft Live Expo. Since your site is new, I would not expect a lot of traffic from Google's free listings. You can try the pay-per-click advertising, but it could be costly. In the long run, a good search engine optimization will go a long way in helping bring traffic.
