well, depends if you are a good web designer or not. You can get a $1,000 job to design and build a website from scrach - or, if less proffesional - you can always get jobs here and there . . .
Okay, but, i dont know if it is the right place to ask, but, do you know any tutorials, that show you how to make and code a nice forum skin that you can sell ?
Buddy... What forum are you wanting to skin? VBulliten, phpBB, IPB, SMF??? People look for websites a lot more than forum skins, and for some reason people don't mind using pre-made forum skins than templates. So stick with regular websites.
