Can we see some source code?

Theres ALOT of unnecessary tables in your design. Simple easy way to fix all this might be to take up leaning (xhtml) DIV and CSS.

In my personal opinion Front page isn't a great program to build sites in as it only likes to show up rite, in IE and nothing else.

Yep... it would be silly for IE NOT to support something another MS product spits out. It doesn't look right in FF and Mozilla because the code that Frontpage spat out is garbage. A bunch of non-compliant code with Frontpage's own sort of arbitrary code that only IE can understand.

Well at least you're hitting the majority of internet users...

I did a check on your site.

For example, the following image can just simply use the <img src=""> code. Firefox or any other other browser wont be friendly with the coding below. If I am you, I will redo the whole site.

Code:
<!--[if gte vml 1]><v:group id="_x0000_s1046"
 style='position:absolute;left:21.75pt;top:34.5pt;width:159.75pt;height:99.75pt;

  <v:path gradientshapeok="t" o:connecttype="rect"/>
 </v:shapetype><v:shape id="_x0000_s1032" type="#_x0000_t202" style='position:absolute;

I agree -- MicroSTOOPID Front Page is one of the worst HTML Editors to have, as it throws in 100's of lines and syntax of useless code!

In looking at your code, I did happen to see your site is missing a <!DOCTYPE Declaration> which is mandatory for all current markup languages, and without one, it's impossible to reliably validate a document. The DOCTYPE defines the version of the document like -- HTML 4.0.1, XHTML 1.0, 1.1, ...etc.

A great way to redo everything would be to simple use a OPENSOURCE layout and just edit the content to match you own. OR hire a freelancer to build you a simple site.

What ever is in your budget range.

*I'm available to do some work if need. I'm cheap ^_^

I think you’re using Microsoft Word to design your web page. I don’t think Frontpage would generate that kind of coding. Unless you copy and paste contents from Microsoft Word.

WYSIWYG editors are not good for new designers.

Actually, that isn't true -- the following 1st line of code in websites done in MicroSTOOPID Front Page display this directly under the Doctype declaration:

<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">

As you can see, the code doesn't translate properly.

Travelagent,

I understand what you mean. Why I am saying that he maybe using Microsoft Word to publish his web site because I used Frontpage and Dreamweaver very often as I also design Frontpage web templates for my clients. For few years I have used frontpage and honestly I never see Frontpage generate that kind of code. Now, let me give you an example, below is the exact tables that created by Microsoft Word (Both are 2 X 2 table),

Code:
<table class=MsoTableGrid border=1 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0
 style='border-collapse:collapse;border:none;mso-border-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;
 mso-yfti-tbllook:480;mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt;mso-border-insideh:
 .5pt solid windowtext;mso-border-insidev:.5pt solid windowtext'>
 <tr style='mso-yfti-irow:0;mso-yfti-firstrow:yes'>
  <td width=295 valign=top style='width:221.4pt;border:solid windowtext 1.0pt;
  mso-border-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;padding:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt'>
  <p class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p>
  </td>
  <td width=295 valign=top style='width:221.4pt;border:solid windowtext 1.0pt;
  border-left:none;mso-border-left-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;mso-border-alt:
  solid windowtext .5pt;padding:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt'>
  <p class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p>
  </td>
 </tr>
 <tr style='mso-yfti-irow:1;mso-yfti-lastrow:yes'>
  <td width=295 valign=top style='width:221.4pt;border:solid windowtext 1.0pt;
  border-top:none;mso-border-top-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;mso-border-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;
  padding:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt'>
  <p class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p>
  </td>
  <td width=295 valign=top style='width:221.4pt;border-top:none;border-left:
  none;border-bottom:solid windowtext 1.0pt;border-right:solid windowtext 1.0pt;
  mso-border-top-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;mso-border-left-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;
  mso-border-alt:solid windowtext .5pt;padding:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt'>
  <p class=MsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p>
  </td>
 </tr>
</table>
And now below is the table code that generated by Frontpage 2003,

Code:
<table border="1" width="100%" id="table1" style="border-collapse: collapse" bordercolor="#000000">
    <tr>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
    </tr>
    <tr>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
        <td>&nbsp;</td>
    </tr>
</table>

boboman - both FP and DW8 produce 100's of lines of useless code, no matter how you slice it and dice it ... the code I posted came from a friend's website, who's been using FP since it first came out and he continues using it.

I personally wouldn't use either of those, but you can see his code here

Frontpage and Dreamweaver do produce some useless code sometime. But they do not produce the littlekiwis web site code. What I am trying to say is that littlekiwis web site is published using Microsoft Word or he copy and pastes the items from Microsoft word to Frontpage.

As for your friend web site, I looked at his source code and why he has all those useless code like you said is because he is using Frontpage theme and templates feature. Take a look at this for example,

<!--webbot bot="Navigation" S-Orientation="vertical" S-Rendering="graphics" S-Type="top" B-Include-Home="TRUE" B-Include-Up="FALSE" startspan -->

This is needed in Frontpage as it includes the navigation contents. And such feature is very useful for beginner who wants to publish their web site fast.

I understand what you're saying; but if you go back and read the original post, they blatantly state they designed it in MS FP and NOT MS Word -- MS Word is a Word Processor and NOT an FTP client for uploading sites to servers.

If you understand how to properly read code on numerous Editors, this line of code in the original post would have told you it was done in MS FP:

<style>
v\:* { behavior: url(#default#VML) }
o\:* { behavior: url(#default#VML) }
.shape { behavior: url(#default#VML) }
</style>

As for my friend's site, it clearly shows this code:

<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 5.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">

Irregardless; BOTH sites were done in MicroSTOOPID FP and that's all there is to it.

I know, what I mean is I think he maybe using Word. Because I never see Frontpage generate that kind of coding before so I am curious. So thats why I am suggesting that he may have using Microsoft Word to create his web page and save it as HTML file and upload it. Or perhaps he copy and paste some items from Word to Frontpage. Because if you copy shape or images, text etc from Word to Frontpage, frontpage will also copy the whole coding that Word generated to there as well. I never said he must be using Microsoft Word, I am only suggesting which I maybe right or maybe wrong.

I know what you're saying and can understand your curiosity; I suppose they possibly could've done that in MS Word and copy/pasted into MS FP not knowing the complications it would create ... maybe we'll never know!

You may be right. You can generate html pages in MS Word. I have seen the code that Word generates. Word generates it own proprietary code and CSS that only other MS products can comprehend.
