Is it possible to add something that will tell me users which version of java they have installed?

Either as soon as they arrive at the page or after they click on a link/button and display something like this:
http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/~tomw/version.html

Thanks.

As far as I know you can only do this with a Java applet, like the one you supplied.

I am making the login page for an application that requires Java.

I would like have something that would tell people what version of Java they have before trying to login.

Do you know how I can go about creating one or getting one for my page?

Thanks.

Do a Google search for "Java version checker" -- that's pretty simple and straight-forward.
