Use photoshop its the best software for playing with design

use illustrator, he is the only true worker with vectorial from the planet
u can easy resize ur work (web site - banner-logo-graphics elements // pub. panels...)
after u finish ur work, u can make it better on the photoshop.

I use photoshop CS only in creating banners
