Bit of a unusual situation here.

A friend of mine has asked me to make a few changes to his website. Not a problem and pretty easy.

That is he asked for a page that contains quite a few British sterling/pound signs. Unfortunately my keyboard is US based.

I noticed in the html, if I simply copy and pasted a pound sign, once uploaded to the server, the pound sign is rendered as a question mark.

I haven`t had much sleep lately so I`m probably missing something really easy. Please forgive my stupidity if so!

Sorry folks, a bit of googling helps.

Just goes to show how often I`ve used the pound sign, I never figured it was a special character.

All is well again.
