I am looking for a font type that can be read easily when the text is put into an image; several paragraphs is what I am looking to do.

The image is for an advertisement, not a web page (to avoid the discussion of the seo ramifications).

I've tried all of the following in various states:

arial
verdana
tahoma
georgia
sans-serif
helvetica
geneva
century gothic. . .

With differing font sizes, and all of the images are proving hard to read.

I'm saving the images as .gif, but I've tried .jpg as well - everything I've tried thus far is nothing that I would want to spend more than a few seconds looking at.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Could you post the image?

In photoshop, if you set the anti-aliasing option to "none", sometimes it clears up small text.

Verdana & photoshop small work well with this method.

Thanks for the response. I now realize I should have given a little more information.

I am creating the ad using html & css - then using a screen capture software to save the advertisement as an image. It's solely a text based ad with exception of a screenshot that I load into the ad.

I honestly didn't think about using something like photoshop to create the ad. . . I'm not really a designer & I'm more comfortable using notepad than anything else.

I do have access to photoshop & I have real draw pro installed on my computer - I will see how that works when I get back. My friend has photoshop & I'll see what I can do with what you've suggested.

I don't have the image in front of me cuz I left my laptop at home, but I think using a graphics program would produce a better result.

Thanks again for the input.
