I want to change the layout of the main page of my site. www.inetclubhouse.com
I want the left column and header to stay the same but I'd like to change the rest to something more pleasing and eye catching. For instance, I'd like to show recent forum topics and get rid of the hottest members section. I also want to bring the polls box up somewhere.
I'm having trouble coming up with a good layout though, it always looks too cluttered and important things arn't visible enough. Does anybody have any ideas for a good layout?
I would try setting it up like the macrumors.com site. I think the tab layout at the top is simple and easy to navigate. There is also ample room on the sides to display things like current posts and members. It would also provide you with room to come up with some attractive graphics.
Put more buttons across the top that will give you more room for content.And resize the header graphic it's a bit to wide and off sets the page at 800x600.Or if you really want to tidy things up try a fly out menu on the top or down the left.
Please re-read my post, I was looking for ideas, not somebody to do it for me. Please refrain from soliciting your services when it's not appropriate. Thanks anyway though.
