Are they worth it?

I ask this because a collegue of mine recently came into the acqusition of adult product and content. A heck of a lot of it and it was part of an asset ceasure by the courts. (They guy couldn't pay so he got pretty much everything of value... Long story.)

Now he has made some enquires and shopped the stuff around trying to unload it but what everyone is offering him is close to pennies.

So we have talked...
I'm against the idea of an adult site because I can only see a continuation of the penny probleme. And I think he should just cut his losses and be done with it.

He figure that he has nothing left to loose and might as well gamble because the stuff is sitting in several boxes collecting dust.

So anyone got any experience in this field.
I've been quoted all kinds of weird numbers and told all kinds of crazy stuff by the people employed in that industry.

We have had a couple of meetings with these people and they talk a heck of a fair game but I have noticed that almost everyone of them is quick to meet with you, is ready to accept the material and a cheque. But none of them appear to know what a business suit is and they have all left the meeting in a used car.

So I don't know...
I'm a meat and potatos kind of guy. I want to see hard numbers.
Any advice.

I suppose, in a sense, that answers my questions.

I kind of have a low tolerance to the general "grease-ness" of that industry.
