I am trying to learn flash so I can create web site templates etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction, maybe tell me a site with good tutorials or anything else that can help.

First lesson - don't use flash to build websites.

Why not use flash?

It's ok for small banners and such, but a full flash website is 1 - cannot be indexed by the search engines, so full-flash sites won't show well, if at all, in the search engines; and 2 - Full flash sites are inaccessible and cannot be used by people using assistive technology. There are other reasons, but those are the 2 big ones.

I agree, one of my friends who's a photographer had his site designed in Flash and can't get it to show up in any search engine. Use flash sparingly, but try http://www.flashkit.com. Maybe it's not the most organized place, but they have lots of tutorials, free music/sounds, and an active forum where people can help you.

Flashkit.com is good, as well as http://www.Pixel2Life.com

i agree with the others as far as the search engines go...however, some very nice web sites are made in flash. If SEO isn't something you care about, then go for it
