I wanted these...

1. heres some ideas.. A ratings system that categorizes the top rated/most visited articles/images/videos in a resizable box on ones front page.

2. A news box that can be updated in one place and then changes on every page that it is located on. This is useful for designers who don't use CMS.

I like your sites by the way.

Thank you for your thought, we will look into your idea, make some research and if nothing similar available on net we will build that application.

If you've read Getting Real by 37 Signals, then you should know that you should only create a solution for your own problems. That way, you truly know what's needed and what to do.

The 37 signals guys have hit on a great model: make what you need, then sell what you make. However, I'm throwing in my idea to the ring, and I KNOW I'll never make it. I don't know if you've ever seen the ajax demo at openrico.org but have a look at this. They do a drag and drop demo that's pretty cool. It would be fun to combine this with audioscrobbler to create a mix tape maker. So, it would work like this: search, get back some tracks (that look like old school cassette tapes) and drag and drop the cassette tape into the tape player until you've made a mix tape you like. Then hit record, and it saves the tape. You could save the track list in a local database and you could trade mix tapes with friends. You'd have to keep it very retro, though.
