Is there a place that I could find "add-ons" for logos. Like the parts of the logos that aren't text.

u might try googling "free clip art" and see what you find but you'll probably end up with a design that looks over-used. I recommend you have a logo contest for $x and let some of the designers in here do a unique logo for you...
