Got a question that I have been unable to come up with a suitable answer to up to this point.
I have been doing some graphical artwork for a friend in relation to his soon to be released webpage and he insists on paying me.
I have never charged for my work since it has only been for Sig pics on forum boards and small work for friends...
So as of this point I am stuck trying to figure out how much to charge for these images I have done and the ones yet to come, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions...

Basically the work being paid for are 6 images consisting of three different sizes of one image with 2 different colored backgrounds.
1 large image about 700x150 with two copies in different background colors
1 standard 468x60 banner with the same two different colored backgrounds
and then the two different colors with a size fitting an affiliates button...

Any suggestions on what would be a suitable charge for this work...

There's several things to consider when figuring your charge, and one of those things may be that work was done for a friend.

I've seen charges ranging from $35 to $50 per hour. Also, there are some that have a flat fee for banners and buttons. The ranges are so great that it would be hard to give you an estimate without seeing the work done.

ok then... will show the proof image... this is one out of the 6 that is then changed background color to make the second and cropped with the different background colors to make the 3rd and 4th... 5th and 6th I have not done yet.. but will be little work since most of the work was done to create this image...
