Curious Question... Project Funding

I have quite a bad problem, many of you may have it aswell (good way to start a paragraph), I can not sleep with all the ideas rushing though my head.

I have quite a lot of web development ideas but I dont really have the time to get them completed, for me its not really about making my millions, its more about the satisfaction of getting a well built outstanding project built and watching people use it. I have one or two project half built already.

I was wondering if there is anywhere that funds projects and takes for example 50% ownership and profits of the project so that I could go part time or self employed to spend more time on my own projects.

I am currently employed full time as a manager for a website optimisation company , just moved from a senior web developer position from quite a large property company in the birmingham, united kingdom area.

I know I can knuckle down and get a project completed, I have a medium sized portfolio of completed projects.

There are good old Venture Capitalists, always worth a shot. They will invest in return for a certain percentage of the business but be warned they will expect you to have a good business plan.

Thats pretty good advice.

I'm currently in a similar situation to you actually. I am hoping to get part funding from Princes Trust and I have also been talking to two investors. I put together a business plan and have so far been in touch with PT, Business Link and a local one called LEGI Bradford.

You might think this is a little strange, but another popular way to do it is to ask a big number of friends and relatives to invest into a project and between them all, get enough money to do it properly.

Hope that gives you something to think about
