Hi,

Here's 2 sites I designed. My first reall attempts at css outside of basic 2 column designs. The first one's basically put together from a template, the second one I desiged myself with help from tutotials.

http://www.pricingstrategy.net

So what'd you think? a decent attempt?

Thanks,
Andy

I would remove the underlining for the links in the tabbed menus.

I would go for a fluid width instead of fixed. With the latest laptops the width is too small and the text in the columns looks squeezed.

Open the second one in Firefox. The CSS needs to be adjusted. There is also extra gray at the top of the white tabs.

Typical, for someone to design in Internet Explorer.

I've used the first template before myself. I would have left it alone if I were you. It looked good the way it started.

Nice try on #2, but you do have list problems in Firefox.

Looking at your code.. needs some work. Learn what's necessary to use the XHTML doctype - you have some work to do, lots of validation errors.

This is completely unnecessary:

LadynRed, don't you know that is the way to achieve height in an element?

I'm not much of a coder, so I don't know how hard that would be to do in css but.. I would put some nice images on there.

The first site has a nice colour(AUS FTW) scheme and would look awesome with an appropriate banner

The second site looks a bit like a pop up. I would change it around a bit to give it more professionalism e.g again.. adding images. It could just be me being a designer but could use a bit of spicing up.

Other than that the coding looks good, but as I said im not a coder.. form my perspective good coding.

Thanks
Matt.
