Well, the whole site seems a little boring. You have a couple images (with the header being out of aspect ratio), and then the rest of the site is text (except for the flash hover, which you could have done in Javascript/CSS).

Sorry, you need to try again.

Anyone would have to guess the name of the site. From the footer it appears to be Spain Air Conditioning. This needs to be in a logo in the header. Not that image by the way. Even at original size, it looks like a time warp.

It is ugly (Not trying to be rude) because of the skinniness and the boring white I recommend drawing it and creating a color scheme then coding it.

As for the design, there isn't much to it. The top header image is squeezed and has nothing much on it.

There's unneccessary spacing at the bottom of the page.

The bottom navigation is out of the way and in Times New Roman.

I'd suggest considering a redesign to make it less bland.

I think some few changes would serve your site well. I have to agree with the rest, not great. But I've seen worse.

  • You need a new banner that is sized correctly so it's not distorted.
  • Your links should go under your banner at the top, it's okay to have links at the bottom of your page but only if they are in addition to the primary menu buttons on the top or side navigation. This makes it more accessible. The way it is now, you have to scroll down to see the links.
  • It would look better if your links were buttons, even underlining them would help if you can't do that. Make them stand out and something people want to click on.
It's not a bad start but you have a little work cut out for you.

Good luck.

5.5 Fair - improvements needed but not too bad.

Hi,

You should add some graphic and maybe to make a better concept..try with moving things around. Also try to add some small peaces of graphic to separate your bottom menu from the rest of the site.. Take a look few sites that you like and see how they do it, and you will probably get some idea.
Anyway, don't give up, keep working and you will be satisfied with your progress

Thanks again for all your replies !

Been updating the site, since my last post !
I agree usually links should be placed at the header, however I'm more focused on the users focusing there attention to the drop down menu. Majority of the site is for advertising potential installers etc to link to me.

Drop down menu if for users to find a air conditioning company in there region !

I like to here your views on the update thanks again !

I believe you need more of a framework for the site. Right now everything is floating in the middle of the site. I think you need a defined content area and navigation area to start off.

It's a definate improvement. You're headed in the right direction. I would make your flags the same size and work on your alignment. The paragraph under the picture of the beautiful house I wish I had needs to be further to the right, aligned with the first paragraph and there should be a space between the picture and the text. You should also move that lower picture a bit to the right, it's throwing off your alignment as well. Your banner, kudos, WAY better!

I understand your thought proccess behind the links now, it's a preference really as long as they all work, and they do.

On your links page, I don't get it. It says add your company details here but there's nothing to do.?? Also, you should be consistant with your capitalization unless it's a proper noun. 'Details Here'

You're headed in the right direction though. Keep up the good work.
