hi all i just made a new site it took me more than 30 hrs to design and code so please gimme some feedback - it could still use a lot of work.

The intro graphic looks great, but it doesn't match the rest of your site in terms of both color and style. Overall, it looks good.

I agree with delighted, but I don't think that the splash screen is really even necessary. I don't really like having to click AGAIN to get to the content.

If you do have good content on your site, then you shouldn't need to rely on an impressively designed splash screen to bring in more visitors.

I agree with coolkbk585, you should not need the extra page.
Put the design in the header
for gallery, you can get free public domain pictures and images
you should put the "News and Updates - new site" info in "about us"
You have photoShop Tutorials - may want to include GIMP tutorials as the program does simular to photoshop and can use the same tutorials with small changes and it's FREE - a good drawing factor (no pun intended)
You may want to include a good HTML/CSS editor (not Dreamweaver)
but they have many free ones with good help files or tutorials
(FREE and good with tutorials is a good attraction - gets traffic)
examples of design for websites is always good - articles and/or tutorials is even better.

yeah i figured. now i added some greenish hues to the intro graphic

i know, ill just have it for the time being until the site is developed ( no one knows the site at the moment). it takes about 100k of bandwidth too so yeah.


i know what im doing in organising the content.. but thnx...

also the dull black text could use some improving the one on the main page ,

slash screen... i agree that it is not necesary tho it looks awsome maybie you can use it on another part of the site? dunno , your call.

Starting image is pretty cool, but the main site doesn't match the starting image. Maybe change the main site's colour to blue?

The Enter text on the splash page is rather dark. I'm not blind but I think this is an accessibility issue. The splash page also does not do justice; it doesnt introduce the site, only shows a graphic... ?

The main part of the site is rather dull and dark. The '\' infront of each block title is rather annoying and I see it as a low-class attempt to look sleek and professional.


I think there are some major changes in the layout and coloration that need to be done to make it a good looking site.

I also think the splash page might need to go. From a functional perspective, it doesn't add anything new.

Also, the text color and background color you use for the text doesn't provide a lot of contrast making it harder to read. Maybe try a lighter gray with black text or darker gray with white text.

i think its ur monitor, the 'enter' is under a bright area.

well the splash is like youre going underwater then, u come to my site which has an otherworldly feel about it. so imo it kinda does justice even though i might remove if its taking up too much bandwidth

the '\' is attempt at making some uniqueness , it would be boring if all sites looked the same.

yeah i was thinking maybe put the link to forum in the splash to add some more functionability
not sure about trying a lighter gray, it might make too much contrast and screw up the color scheme.
anyone else feel it needs a lighter gray for the content?
