I am here about my new site I am developing. The site is called Ot (Opentheories.com). The idea behind the site is to create a community of mature discussions based around debatable subjects such as Abortion. But is also based on the discussion of theories and conspiracies such as the 9/11 tragedy and others like the Roswell UFO crash.

Mainly I am asking for opinions on the idea itself and the logo I have created on the main page. Also looking for people with willingness to argue about subjects to help create a better community. Everyone is welcome to join and the site is still in its early stages.

I created the site two days ago after I started to aquire an interest in debates and reading peoples opinions on subjects such as the 9/11 tragedy. I appreciate anything anyone has to offer such as advice or even participating in the commmunity!

On a side note the design of the site has not yet been created. I have design a logo (maybe temporary) and will continue to work on a design to skin the forums. For now I believe that the default skin will be sufficient and will work till I can create one.

I love the concept, a good forum for debate is always enjoyable to me.

I have never been a fan of intro pages, especially for a forum you dont need it. If you insist on having one, at least put a description to let people know what your website is about before they click to go into it.

Your theme looks a little to default, try getting some new themes/mods installed, or at least change the title image so its about opentheories.

Change the title of the forum page to open theories forum so it doesnt say "invision powerboard" 2 times.

Otherwise looks good, keep it up

About the intro page, I felt the need to have one mainly because I have not added the logo to the forums or a new skin. The skin is DEFAULT, I am currently working on a theme as of now. I will probably post an update at some time with it. And for a description on the main page... good idea. I may have to add one to it until i remove it.

And the title, thank for for reminding me! I forgot haha.

I agree with getting rid of the splash page. Even if the forum is default, I think it would be nice for people to be able to get to the forum just by typing in the web address.

try to come up with a design that is original to your forum. Something funny, maybe an odd header that your visitors an remember. Now the forum will just look like any other.

I think you've got a great idea with your forum though... so good luck to you.

He said that it was a default while he was working on getting the layout...

I am currently workin on a design and I am not sure how long it will take because I do not want to rush it.
