im wondering how this is done. The ability to see a route on a google map, then download it as a gpx, mps and google earth file. Id really like to implement this on my site.

I imagine that gps systems use a particular common filetype and google simply re-writes these files with a script into said gps file.

But I dont know the technical side of it. Sorry.
