Website Review and Suggestions

Hi all ,
I have an old Mobile forum www.mobilecastle.biz/mobiles ... i need your advices about google placement...
I get more than 8500 visitors a day but only 295 clicks...

I know you would like more clicks, but my advice is going to go in the opposite direction. The huge Google ad right in the middle makes me, as a website visitor, immediately say 'this guy just wants me to click on his adsense, nothing else'

You might want to cut down on that huge ad, and maybe put in another banner ad in the forums. Removing that annoying ad might get you more return visitors

I agree, that The Google Ads take up too much space up top. I think the top banner above that would look better centered also.

I like the colours. I saw an orange 'donate' button from paypal that would look great instead of the one you have there. It's on the paypal site.

Like somebody already said, you number or size of ads will not give you more clicks. Try to place ads on more hot spots, and to blend them better. For example between posts, threads..etc.
You have pretty good design but some things are not right in firefox. Try to fix them.

i too think that the ads from google does not matches the aesthetics of your forum ... it is annoying for the members also

It looks kinda busy to me. The navigation is hard to read. You have to concentrate on it to see what it says.

Other then that, it's a nice design. The content is layout out nicely.

Ditto's -- if there's anything that will make me run away from a site, it's being greeting by two huge Google ads before I see any useful content.

if we see first time the site, it won't look after few time it goes to a forum kinda site.........although header is unique rest is same as others.......!!

it is really annoying that the first thing you see when you open the site are those stupid Google Ads can't you put them at the right side or at the bottom of your page... beside that the design is good...

design is good but the adsense placement make the site look little confusing and irritating....put them on right or reduce the size as banner......so that it comes the design more rather than ads......nice designed header of the site.....rest is okay....

agree agree agree- those adsense ads made me go "OMG WTF I'm under attack from the GOOGLE MARTIANS" lol. It's a GREAT design, layout, colour scheme and I love it- but HATE those 2 ad placements up top. I just talked one of my graphic designers into taking away a leaderboard banner placed on the top of her page underneath her header logo. She replaced it with a standard 468x60 text/image banner. Her CTR has went from .2% to almost 3% within 2 weeks and she's making money now.
