Hello,

Not too long ago I released my site: http://www.graphics2you.com

Basically it gives members the ability to create online graphics portfolios, showcasing their work, and of course this would obviously be a great benefit to freelancers, and also people looking to getting a graphic designed / website developed etc.

Also, there is the Graphics Market which gives members the ability to upload Graphical Items for sale such as Web Designs, Logos, 3D Models and anything else Graphics related.

I'd pretty much like a review on anything, the design, concept, anything you like

Thank You,
Littlej

Hi, Littlej.
I liked the concept of the web site and the new skin :-) The only thing - the home page looks a bit stuffed. When you open it- your eyes does not know where to go. (I mean the middle and bottom part of the home page). The navigation is simple and clear. At the members portfolios notieced that the signature of the member and 'bookmark this site' lines are mixed up. Another little suggestion- recommend the members to add profile picture and at least a little description for the works.

Thanks for the review, I'm not too happy with the bottom half of the site and have been working on the layout recently. As for having a photo and description of the work I've added two sections to help that, being the active and recent portfolios. To have an active portfolio you need to have a display picture + information filled out and the recent portfolios reward people for updating their information. Also the iPod competition I'm runnin also encourages these fields to be filled out. But of course if they don't want to fill the sections in there's not much else I can do

Thanks again

Hmm..you have pretty interesting design, and i think if you tweak it some it could be great. For the start you should do something with the titles like navigation or stats. It's very hard to read it on darker backgrounds. Also your site needs to be fixed for viewing in IE. In FireFox it's ok but in IE it has same errors.

Thanks for the review, which version of IE were you using? It works for me in FF and IE7 and a while ago I checked it in IE6 and it was working but I've changed a bit since then.

It's not bad and works well. However I have seen quite a few freelancer type websites and considering you are in the graphic design arena, the actual look of your site is not up to scratch. Header area is too big, colours are too basic.

on the header part where you defined.........Account, Portfolio's & Market, Hosting should be in bold, and it should be highlighted....try white to make it more appear able and on the left side heading for the particular things should be in white or appear able colors........rest is good concept and nicely arranged...

God Bless,

Great look to site. I like the graphic work with the pen in the header.
I think there's too much content jam packed.
Space it out a little bit and work on the flow control.

I like the site. It looks nice, but the one setback for me is the size of the images that make up the layout. I think that they are a little too big, as even with high speed internet they take a few seconds to show up.

The graphics are ok but the design is funky (in a bad way).. navigation is large and intrusive.. logo is ... wierd.. and the block titles are not formatted correct.. looks out of place.. 3/10

When I click on 'Hosting' this is what I got at the top-
Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/graphics/public_html/webhosting.php:9) in /home/graphics/public_html/header.php on line 2

The forum is like jumping into a whole other world and there's no easy way to return to your home page.

I like the use of colours throughout the layout and think it looks like the start to a promising website.

Good luck & see ya around.

Thanks for pointing that out, all fixed now .

I agree that the forum really does look like another site I could probably make the transition less noticeable, but as I'm havn't had much experience coding skins for IPB I had to buy one, this is somthing I will work on in future.

Cheers

I've made some more updates and such, changed the layout up a little so it dosn't seem as 'squashed' anymore and added a couple more features like the articles on the right.

It has really got structure and it just needs a little less images.. it took dome time to charge every image. if you want your forum to fit well in your design, it will be more practical to use a simple forum, which you can easily adapt the style from.
maybe you should set a bigger line-height or padding to your font, that makes it look better
great work

The design of the site is very interesting. The home, forum etc links one the top of the page looked pretty big to me at first but then they seem to go with the whole layout. I like the body of the site as it is well designed. (y)
