Hi there,

My site can be found here: www.robin-williams.net and even though I don't hate it's current design I know I can do better.
I'd like to keep the current frameset and change the colors and the content in the main frame. Here's a gif-image of what I have in mind. All film pages currently have their own colors, but I want to create the new site based on css and therefore make all pages the same when it comes to colors.

I'd like to know what you think about the lay out and usability. I know it'd be better to no use fixed frames and/or fixed tables, but I wouldn't know how to design a site like this without fixing content.

Any input is welcome!

>need to work on cross-browser compatability, many things dont look right in firefox

>Top nav seems jumbled and roll overs are hard to navigate, try changing to to a vertical style.

over all I'd give it a 7.9

Thanks for the input! The next site will be compatible with Firefox as well after the redesign.

I've always liked the way the menu works, but I'll also test it with a vertical style, just to find out which I think is more useful.

Thanks for these tips. Other reviews are welcome!

definitely get rid of the frames, use scrollable divs if anything, but i would just code it so you don't need any scrolling within the page, one scrollbar is enough on the right hand side

the colors work well and generally tha layout is nice, the navigatin could do with some work though i don't like the way it overlaps on certain buttons when the sub menu comes out

Thanks. I'd love to get rid of the frames, but then again, how can I create a menu without having to place it on every page...changing the menu would take a week, as the site has now about 300 pages.

Would a frameset with just a left, top and main frame do it? Cause I hate to place the header and menu on every page...

Create the menu in an external stylesheet...
