Please don't take this the wrong way as it's only my opinion. Something about the color scheme puts me off. I can't tell exactly why I don't like the color scheme, but for some reason I don't... maybe I find it too dark. As a suggestion you might want to keep the body white and then use the brown/tan colors on the top/left/right/bottom of the page.
That's only my opinion and I'm no graphic artist, maybe the color scheme is fine in other people's opinions.
