I recently bought a website: GenLinks Website Directory

I made a lot of changes to it...

Please do a review and let me know how I can improve it.

I am going to add statistics mod to it soon.

looks really nice: clean and good colour combo

i didn't see any links other then google ones for the 3-4 categories that i looked at??

i'm not sure why i would use this directory of any other though: what makes it special?

Directory without links is nothing regardless how nice it may look.

Cancel payment for regular links until you get, lets say 1,000 links
because without them and links to your directory your RP5 will turn
to 0 in no time

You have quite fine design, but IMHO there are tons of weblinks directory so it will be difficult to conquer any revenuable part of the market

Unless you are a SEO genius

But afterall i will too cancel any payments, for start definitely !

I can dig that, but at least the one that has original design and not "one for all" no brainer template
that even God won't be able to make any better

If you wanna people to praise your site then just forget about it because your site layout just another
one in 10,000 directories site that came online in the past 2 years.

Here is my prediction. Your site will be off in 2 years or less if you continue charge for submission.
You can take that to the Bank

I do offer discounted prices every now and then, but I've spent money to get this website to where it is, I spent time to add features to it regularly, I spent time reviewing the websites..... I think I (and all credible directory owners) deserve to charge a review fee..

SEO... I don't think so because I am not.
I am webmaster for AMRAY "poorly design" Directory, no more, no less but you can Google for:
free directory listing
and/or
free listing

and I will close my case

The layout is clean and there is nothing annoying - expect the graphics of the header, which I didn't like. But maybe it's just my bad taste.
I think that the mainthing for you is to get more and more links to your site, because that would be the only possible way to be distinguished from the masses.

Something you should do is to get more link to your site. More and more.
