Reduce the number of forums until the site is busy, then it won't look so open.
Change the Google ads background from white to the same grey so it looks more integrated.

It's an SMF forum. I really can't say more on it. If you had built your own forum I'd have more to say, but you didn't you downloaded and installed a product and are asking us to tell you what we think of your chosen theme and forum running style.
