I think it's too white. It needs a splash of colour. I like the watermarks on each category and those boxes need to stay in the central column. I don't like the fact that you need to scroll to read the welcome section, I doubt many people with bother scrolling through all that, I think you need to give that more space on the page if it's something that visitors need to be reading, and if it isn't then maybe cut it down a little but definitely lose the scrolling.
Maybe you could move the site search, latest and expiring offers to a different place. The site search could maybe go top right alongside your logo, with maybe the offers and discounts boxes on the left hand side by the logo but with tabs so you can flick between latest and expiring?
When you click through to a list of items maybe it would be nice to have some images in each box, or do some more styling to the boxes they look quite bland as they are. And again it's a lot of scrolling, maybe have pagination instead? I'm not a big fan or scrolling up and down a page so much and once you scroll to the bottom you have to scroll all the way back up, if you do need to keep the scrolling, put a back to top link at the bottom of the page?
Ah I see when you click through to the items your site search is in the top right, I think that's the best place for it, but it needs to be constant across the site rather than moving around.
