Hi guys. This is my first site that I have had any inclination to try to do properly and for somebody else.

http://www.moodsoflight.com

It is just a preview page so the links aren't working properly as I havn't uploaded an unlinked page.

feedback will be appreciated, although if it's negative I think I might sulk for a while

lol but you have to learn to take the good with the bad. That's how we learn.

With that said,

Choose a different colour for your menu text. It's hard to read.

I think the banner would be better if the Title of the site were positioned above the mountains in the rotating pictures. At times it's had to read. Maybe change the font, seems a bit boring for a photography art site.

All in all you have a pretty nice site going, not bad at all for a first.

Good luck with this and all your future projects.

Thanks Kimberly.

Glad to see someone understands my lame sense of humor.

I am thinking about removing the mountains and having something a little more abstract like the nice sand photo so the text stands out more.

I will work on the font. It does look pretty lame I agree so I just have to figure out how to do something classier. Pehaps do it in photshop with a transparent background or is there a way to do drop shadows and stuff in flash?

Hey there.

I don’t have any room to talk really as this is much better than what I can do. But I would want folks to be honest. Especially with things they don’t like, so here it goes.

I like the bg color but the menu text is hard to read and the roll overs are a little to faint.

The slide shows neat. I especially like the transitions from verticals to horizontals.

The headers pretty cool also.

I will be posting my one feedback request. Id love your comments.

Here is a tutorial for creating Drop Shadows to text in Flash.

I may be the only nut case out there that does this but I prefer to work with both platforms because I am more familiar with PS when it comes to drawing. Maybe not something as simple as creating a drop shadow but from almost every drawing angle.

The pictures you have are nice but if you feel another picture or pictures would be better by all means experiment if you have the time.
