It looks an awful lot like the default Wordpress theme. You would benefit immensely to find something that looks a little more unique. You can download plenty of free ones here, on wp's site, and really all over the web.
Personally, if I were looking for technical information and read: "No idea what “readericon45G.exe” is. Guess I’ll just have to do some Googling and see if I can’t find the solution to this problem," I'd find a different source. Probably I'm not in your target audience, but I don't read tech info for fun, and I'm not going to put the time in unless the person who wrote the article knows more than I do about the subject, and I can glean some of that for my time.
Look into some of the tech articles on MSDN ... ironic as that might sound. Especially the ones under their best practices, design patterns, and that whole area. That's probably a lot more detail than you want to bore you readers with, but read a few of the articles to see how they deal with IT from a stylistic point of view.
The post about Al Gore ... why? You're asking for a review of your content, writing style, and such, so in answer to that: cheering for a criminal because you have a personal issue with a crime victim is tacky and low class enough that I won't be returning to your site. I'm not the only reader you'll loose, but most of them won't tell you why ... or see your request for a review.
If you have goals for your blog that involve people reading it, you might try not alienating them. My web sites don't have any mention of my political or religious beliefs, or any other third-rail subject. If your blog were about politics that would make sense, but how many people who come to your site because they're frustrated with Windows do you really expect to hate Al Gore, or any other public figure or idea? People always say making content for your users is the first step in online marketing and/or seo; this is why.
