Well first thing is - your site have problems with IE, you should fix that.

Other than that, I'm not sure, it's kinda hard to spot the main content on first galance, maybe you should use a bigger font, but it may be because of the IE problems.

So similiar to youtube, can you be a bit more innovative? Also, the navigation is ugly. Fix that up by using xhtml/css with a:hover effect.

Thanks for the replies, we will add a hover effect on the navigation, and fix the problems in IE old version...

Youtube videos will be out, this site is not youtube, it is a social networking website for people in the financial industry, and for anyone to use it if they have financial questions, etc.

This type of website is in demand, so what would you change/add to make it better. Any suggestions would help!

I would put a small introduction of the purpose of the community at the top above the active thumbnails. That will lengthen the overall site which would justify adding an additional box for advertising. Smooth design and easy to navigate.

I'd add a little detail blurb about what the site is about.

Most people who visit the site will do exactly what I did:
Open it up in the browser, then quickly close the window.

Wow.. Wonderful website. A very neat concept. The graphics are good. It is also easy to navigate through your pages.
