Website Review and Suggestions

I don't like the color contrast at all. It's very heavy on the eyes, and it just makes me want to leave. It looks like one of those sites where your bound to get some kind of virus.

I like the darker color scheme, it is easier on the eyes, IMO. But maybe make the text a lighter color to go along with it.

It's kind of hard to read your header image.

It can be difficult to distinguish which text is clickable and which isn't. Perhaps add some rollover options?

Not sure if this is a CSS issue or not, but at the very bottom, your "Who's Online" isn't centered (I'm using FF).

Also, I counted 6 blocks of adsense. This is against their TOS, they only allow up to three ad units total.

You have no content in your "articles" tab. I'd only add the tab to your design once you have something to put in it.

I'm not sure if you really need the additional navigation bar below your tabs. You could probably do without it, and just add a "Home" Tab.

In addition to the suggestions made by James, you should do something about the thumbnails
on the main page.

First, there is no space between the text and the image. Put some padding around the images.
As James pointed out, it's difficult to tell what to click, so you should also make the thumbnails
clickable for the categories.

BTW - You're supposed to review 3 sites before asking for a review.

I'm assuming here that since Leon already made two reviews, his third was deleted by one of the mods (in another thread that didn't follow the rules), but I could be wrong in that assumption.

Thanks for the opinions. I think the colour scheme is one you will either love or hate.

I actually didn't intend the who's online bit to be centered but now that you mention it I might try it. As for the adsense I read that you were ok with 3 ad units and three link units which is what I have. I will go back and check that though as I wouldn't want to get banned. Some content will be arriving soon to put in articles.

I also think you have a point with some of the links not being obvious so I will do something about that and maybe brighten the logo a bit.

And I forgot to validate until after I posted and guess what it doesn't so I have to clean that up also.

Thanks for your opinions they were very useful.

edit: Checked adsense and it is ok to have three of each.
