I thought I'd go for a 2.0 look for a site Im working on [as its starting to grow on me!]
Just wanted to see what everyone else thought as Ive never really tried to go for a web 2.0 look. Below is a link to a screenshot showing my idea for the homepage, although there will probably be more content going on it that what is there at the moment.
Your template doesn't look too bad. I would try implementing more colors to the template though so that it doesn't look so plain. I also think there is too much gradient on some of the images, try to lighten that up and maybe it'll look better.
I like the use of color, however, when I take a second look, it seems to me that everything is jumbled up. Maybe you could space things out a bit.
Other than that! I can't find any other problems, Good Work!

Thanks for the replies! I was thinking it did look a bit cramped, although I'm not really too sure what resolution to design it for? I suppose I could make it wider, I dont think many people use an 800 x 600 resolution anyway?
I was also thinking of adding more colour like some of you said, but I think I'll have to have a play around to see what works!
I agree that some more spacing would be nice. I browse with a pretty large window and it looks cramped when there is a ton of white space around it. I don't mind the colors, I like a blue theme.
I like the clean look you have come up with.
Yes a little more space would be nice, but don't get sucked into having a mish mash of different colours, less is more!!!!
Logo is web2.0. and all other objects are not.
Register today - reflection is incorrect
Web2.0 is graphics in your template. Try doing sth new. Add more color.
