Website Review and Suggestions

I am interested in hearing reviews about the design of the website so far. I am open to any design suggestions. And no, we will not be using a different publishing system.

, um first of all i noticed a very long site loading time, may be just an issue as im from United Kingdom but do not know, Um also when the site loads, it doesnt really tell me much like what to do next and what the sites about, i deel if you move the members login down under the navigation this would be better!

Personally i think there is to much blue and no real depth in the website, and just looks a bit too simple!

I totally agree with that lack of depth observation you made. Since it's a college newspaper I have to make it more appealing to the user base of college undergraduates. How could the blue theme be implemented in a way that would create more depth?

I would like to keep the header the same, but create a more eye-pleasing sidebar menu. Any additional feedback is still welcomed! Don't be shy.
