Hi All, I have just finished developing http://www.waroonaambulance.com.au and I am now open to feedback on it. A couple of things in particular, I am looking for some suggestions on the Sub Centre and First Aid Kit pages. I find that while they both have tables on them (for tabular data ), it doesnt seem possible to use a consistent layout as the data in teh tables is quite different. I really like the news and events pages, and i like the home page too but I am still open to any suggestions on these and all other pages.

I look forward to hearing from you

Thanks

Patrick

My suggestion would be to read this thread.

Then I would look into this CSS error...

I'm not diggin' the scheme of red and green...It makes me think Christmas.

How about a window with a larger image when you click each of the kits photos on the details pages. Speaking of those images, the reflection you created on the images doesn't exactly go with the web site design. The reflection is more of a Web 2.0 thing, and the web site design isn't exactly Web 2.0.

Is there a specific reason why the footer bar is so large?

All in all, it's not bad.

ahh yes, sorry I will have a look through some other site reviews now not sure i can change the title of the thread can i?

the footer was going to contain some other information, but it never did and then it kind of grew on me but i think you are right that I can shrink that.

the red and green came about because their colour now is green, and the red is from the logo which is also on their uniforms, so the green and red seemed an obvious choice...

thanks for your suggestions, I will have a look at the popup idea..

I like the blue pulse-beat image.
Sub Centre - map is a good item
First-aid kits - may want to show pictures of some items and not just a list
May want to include meta tags in your source code - they do help
hope this helps

I like what you have acheived here.
I have had a good look at your tables and don't see why you would want them to be consisitent, you are presenting completely different data in each case, so shouldn't expect one design to cover both.
I think you are right to be pleased with the News and Events pages. Just a small point on the individual event pages you have a link to the top of each page. This is redundant as the pages fill the window.
Personally I would have a margin of 10pxs or so at the top and bottom of each page, but that's just me.
Overall an excellent effort.
