I request you to please review the redesign site at http://redesign.des-us.com. I am still working on it, so some parts like the resources, will not work. Otherwise, all else is in working order.
Thanks

Overall nice design.

Room for improvement:
Adding padding link hovering is annoying. The logo looks like it was created with a white background and then cut out.

The design looks pretty good, I would agree with James above about link hovering being annoying.
As one of the services you offer is web design there are a couple things I would attend to:-
1 Make sure you validate your code.(W3C validation flagged up 62 errors on your home page.)
2 Don't use tables for layout, they should be used for tabular data, CSS is for layout.

Great points Alan.

to be brutally honest it looks like something from a few years ago:

the flash logo looks amateurish - the animation, the poor anti-aliasing, the hard to read text (Enterprise Solutions)

the menu items jump when you hover over them (they expand slightly)

not enough side padding on the text and the text isn't comfortable to read on the horizontal lines, and the green headings have way too little contrast against that background

the saturated blue main background is too intense

what does the globe mean with a star on??

what's the building? yours??

you have a typo here "Virtual Assitance"

34 coding errors and your design is full of tables

all in all it looks quite bad and another redesign is in order

btw this site that you made atomicsea looks good! if your site looked something more like that you would be heading in the right direction

Hi all
Thanks for all your time and input. I have done the redesign of the redesign
Basically:
  • Changed logo, and flash file, added an alternate image to the flash, so if flash/javascript disabled, this image will show.
  • Changed the background color and removed the lined background image.
  • Validated both css and html
  • For the top menu, I have tried, but still the submenu is unclickable. Can someone help? I used suckerfish css and javascript
.
For css vs. table, I have that in mind, and though I started this redesign in css, I found myself a little under-qualified for that. So I reverted back to tables. But my end goal is to have my business website completely css, maybe in very near future.

Thanks for all the help, and your opinions are welcome. I would request a second look at the site, and (except css/table), please send me the opinions.

Thanks

I am looking at your site in Firefox and the submenu that comes up on hover is not lined up anywhere near the menu.

I am new to web design and dont know anything about sites from years ago, that aside, sorry to say but, the moving text top left is anoying (moves too fast and colours seem to clash) and the hover over buttons dont help.

Nice simple site design. I like just that little bit of flash. I think the blue background could be a little more contrasting against the centre blue. I found it easy to navigate and pleasing tgo the eye as well

The design can be improved by changing the colour or adding some images.. good design is important for people to further explore your site..
