Website Review and Suggestions

I just launched a new site and I'd greatly appreciate any feedback that would help improve the overall experience, new ideas, etc.

After a study of your site, I honestly like it a lot! One thing I would personally change is the background from black to white. I think a white background provides a cleaner, more professional look and feel. Also, you might think about making the google search more attractive (possibly center it, or fit it all on one line.) or even placing it 3 inches higher on the top right corner of your logo would like nice. Finally, I honestly don't like that when you click on a link on your navigation bar, it leads you to a page with only a little bit of text, and links to subcategories. If there is a way to make those pages more appealing, maybe with photos or buttons or other visual objects other than text, it would contribute a lot to your site. Other than those small things, your site looks great! I wish you luck with it!

I never thought about making the background white. I'll look into that. And you're right about the search box, I may play around with it a little bit to see if it looks better on one line and perhaps in a different location.

The subcat pages with little text is a work in progress...the site was just launched and I'll be updating the site daily with new content and tutorials.

I think it looks great just the way it is! In fact, I book marked the site... I love to learn the ways other people use web tools and it looks like a lot of great info! Good job...

I like it, I am a novice and have added this to my favorites, I am constantly learning as I go, its easy on the eye, easy to navigate and from what I have seen has lots of good info. Nice one.

Hi there, I took a look and it looks like a good start. You have a lot of great content there, but I think you might have even more people use it if you feature article teasers on the front page (similar to a blog or new article site) rather than a welcome message. If you can include any sort of picture previews for the articles, you'll do even better.

i would fix those, as a site that is saying how to build web sites that doesn't look too promising

also don't use 'click here' for link text: use "read the detailed explanation"

a good looking site well layed out, the black background is a bit dark for me too

The design is clean and simple; the navigation is easy; content looks promising.

I do not 'love' the color scheme...perhaps you may 'jazz' it up a bit?
