I am definitely not a big fan of navigation at the bottom of the page. From the stats of any website you will see that the number of impressions on the "above horizon" items is generally 40% more then on the"below horizin" items. Basically, it means that up to 40% of the traffic has no idea that they can get more information on who you are.
Another point that might help you to convert more traffic is adding "calls to action" and "value propositions" which are easily identifiable when briefly looking at the page.
