Well seems a little bright could tone it down a bit. The text on the navigation buttons should be in the middle of the buttons.

Ah I think your doing good thus far, yes a little off on the colors, now for the concept, there are a lot of websites already out there like this, so you might want to think about how to capture your visitors attention. ie, what is going to bring people to your site that others sites don't have?

As said above, the colors need work. Just making everything a little bit darker would be good.

You post a "valid XHTML" and "Valid CSS" icons on your site, but it fails both of the tests

I would have never checked to see if your site was standards compliant if you hadn't put those icons on there..... I'd suggest removing them, or fixing the errors.

You've chosen a very competitive niche with this site, so you're going to have to make sure everything is perfect on this one.

First impression is it is designed for people under 25, don't know if that is good or bad.
